Massive growth and development of soft bait and spin fishing is reflected in the rods that we have in stock. Our unique Canal based fishery in the central South Island around Twizel and Tekapo has led to us designing and releasing onto the market a range of “state of the art” rods that allow us to accurately fish light, more attractive gear like eggs and softbaits over big distance to huge fish. In order to get the best out of this world class fishery where 20 – 30lb trout and salmon are common to catch, light, powerful and highly sensitive rods with good length have been developed by our team and are acknowledged to be the best in the business. These superb rods by Lox and Crucis with others from Daiwa, Abu, Penn and Timber Wolf set the benchmark in providing the best tools for catching more fish.

These same rods with their extra length have revolutionised the more conventional lake and river fishing we have in New Zealand where light tackle methods have proved so effective. The power and sensitivity of these rods has opened up all sorts of opportunities to use softbaits, hardbaits and small metal lures in places where you could not fish them before.
