This rod is a real beauty for the price range. I have one of these that I carry on my pack when I go fly fishing to spin the deep holes on the way back. It is compact and just the thing for casting Rapalas, Veltics and soft plastics as well as casting the bigger stuff. Last season I caught 5 salmon up to 16lb in an afternoon on mine and it never missed a beat.
