I fish an Intermediate line 90% of the time these days even with a dry fly on short drifts!. Basically lining the fish just isn't an issue anymore!

It also means you can quickly tie on a woolly bugger without changing Fly Lines. Particularly good for fishing to fish that are deep in pools. You can cast well upstream and still not spook the fish with the line. This gives your nymphs more time to sink and get to the fishes depth on that first cast!
