This rod fits snugly between the entry level Vantage model & the top Z-axis/TCX models. It as smooth as you can get and is just about 100% perfect if you are learning to cast. It is extremely forgiving while at the same time generating high line speed and a very accurate/delicate presentation. If you are in a dilemma about which Fly Rod to buy as a novice angler then we highly recommend this one. I have been Fly fishing for years and use these as my main guiding rods with clients that don't have their own gear. Magic rods that will have the novice angler casting like a pro in no time.
