This innovative Airflo system is basically a fly line that has ridges running the length of the line to decrease the line's surface contact with the guides, thereby decreasing friction, resulting in longer casts, and increased accuracy. With the added surface area, Ridge Line floats higher on the water. The ridges also act to channel dirt away from the guides.

The Ridgeline Explorer taper is a custom New Zealand taper designed specifically to handle bulky flies, strong wind and long leaders. The Explorer is the ideal back country fly line for New Zealand. The line has a powerful front taper that turns over heavy weighted nymphs and large indicators with ease. If you need a powerful line to punch into headwind, handle long poly-leader combos and still perform a short cast this is it.

Combined TDC creates a true hi buoyancy variable density tip – this line will amaze you in heavy current – it’s so buoyant you’ll think its wearing water wings. Looped at tip and butt with our super smooth ‘No Step Down’ welds, buoyancy will remain throughout the lifetime of the line – no capillary action here to suck the tip down.

Finally the Power Core, low stretch braided chassis converts casting energy with minimal losses, helping you deliver your fly with precision even when the winds blow.
