I love these Airflo lines and use them extensively. Intermediate lines are fantastic for all kinds of fishing. The main use is for stalking trout around a lake edge where they cast no shadow and sit just under the surface film making detection visually from the fish impossible. They are also brilliant on back country rivers on tough fish sitting deep that would normally spook with a traditional floating flyline.
Another great thing about intermediate lines is that they are the best casting lines of the lot. Super smooth and wonderful to fish with!
